What is it?
Titan is a skin tightening treatment that utilizes a safe, infrared light to produce tighter, younger-looking skin. Titan penetrates deep into the dermis, deep-heating the tissue in the targeted area and stimulating long dormant collagen. As a result, the collagen contracts and tightens, producing visibly firmer skin in the treated area. Results become more dramatic over time as collagen re-builds through a series of treatments.
Is Titan right for me?
Since the Titan procedure works deep within the skin's surface, patients of all skin types can be treated. It can successfully treat many areas of the body where skin is lax. The abdomen, back of the upper arm, along the jaw line, and under the chin have responded particularly well to the procedure.

How is Titan different from other treatments?
Titan employs light energy because it provides a more uniform distribution of energy for heating the deep dermis than other energy sources. The Titan procedure does not injure fat due to its unique optical energy source, and therefore does not cause dimpling.
Is Titan safe?
Titan is a U.S. FDA approved treatment that has been carefully studied in clinics around the world. It is cleared for the treatment of wrinkles in Europe and for general dermatologic use in Canada.
What are the possible side effects?
Some redness and mild swelling on the treatment area might be experienced immediately following the treatment, but these usually dissipate within a few hours.
What can I expect during a treatment?
A safe, infrared light is used to heat the dermis well below the skin’s surface. During the procedure, the skin surface is protected through continuous cooling with the Titan handpiece.
You will experience a slight sensation as the pulses of therapeutic light pass over your skin.
How long does the treatment last?
Treatments for the face and neck last approximately one hour.
Abdominal treatments are shorter, usually lasting around 45 minutes.
Are the treatments painful?
With each pulse of light, you will feel a brief heating sensation. Some patients are more comfortable taking a mild pain reliever beforehand. Many patients are comfortable without anything.
What can I expect after the treatment?
Immediately after the treatment, your skin may be red and slightly swollen for a few hours or longer. However, you can immediately resume all activities and all usual skin care products. But avoid any products that may irritate the skin until all signs of redness fade.
How fast will I see the results, and how many treatments will I need?
The results may be seen within a few weeks of the treatment, however full benefits are usually not observed for 3-6 months as new collagen forms and the skin tightens. The number and frequency of treatments needed vary with each individual. A single treatment has produced very good results for some patients, yet 1-3 treatments, spaced 1 month apart, are generally needed for optimal results.
