Estrogen Dominance
From the onset of puberty, a woman's ovaries produce a finely tuned balance of natural estrogens and progesterone, which promote fertility as well as perform many other functions throughout the body.
The production of hormones slows over time so that by age 35, a woman's hormonal production has dropped considerably. This decline can occur at any time - at puberty, after childbirth, during menopause or after a hysterectomy.
Progesterone is more commonly the first of the hormones to decline. Which can lead to the over-dominance of the estrogens. Those with estrogen dominance may suffer from one, some or all of the symptoms below. Which, while common, are not healthy or suited to long-term wellbeing. Therefore, it is advisable to regain and maintain hormonal balance as soon as these symptoms arise.
