Whatever the effects of shifting hormones, be it low energy, poor sleep, or that stubborn roll of abdominal fat, exercise will help.
Just 30 minutes of activity each day, of sufficient intensity to induce sweating, is all that is needed to keep our body in good condition. Which does not necessarily mean a trip to the gym. Brisk walking, stair climbing, swimming, cycling, tennis, dancing...are all options. The key to success is to choose those that can be easily incorporated into your daily routine and that you will enjoy.
Also, the ancient Chinese exercises like yoga, tai-chi and qi gong can be extremely beneficial for both body and mind. Giving a sense of balance and inner-calm.
