Mindfulness is a way of
living to help us transform
our suffering into peace and
joy. The Chinese character
for "mindfulness" is "nian"
(念). The top part of the
character (今) means "now",
and the bottom part of the
character (心) means "heart"
or "mind". The combined
character means the act of
experiencing the present
moment with your heart.
Practising mindfulness
helps us to heal our internal
balances or emotional issues
that have prevented us from
being and staying healthy.
