How does SUNEKOS work?

SUNEKOS's precise mix of 6 amino acids (Glycine, L-Proline, L-Alanine, L-Leucine, L-Lysine and L-Valine) and hyaluronic acid are the nourishment and building blocks that are needed by the activated fibroblast cells to make collagen and elastin. With added collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid, the supporting tissue in our body, also known as the extracellular matrix, is replenished, restoring the skin's elasticity and hydration.

All these positive effects translate to:
  • Reduced dark eye circles
  • Softened wrinkles and lines
  • Skin firming
  • Hydration

How is SUNEKOS different from Profhilo, Skinboosters and Fillers?

SUNEKOS's core difference lies in its amino acids. These amino acids are essential in the making of collagen and elastin; think of it as providing nutrients to the skin to keep the skin healthy. The fluidity of SUNEKOS's hyaluronic acid makes it versatile enough to be used on most parts of the body, especially over the under eyes.

On the other hand, Profhilo's high concentration of proprietary and specially stabilised form of hyaluronic acid actively bio-remodels the skin by producing collagen and elastin. This process firms and hydrates the skin. Profhilo is primarily used over the cheeks and neck, while its spreadability means that fewer points are required for a complete treatment.

For Skinboosters, this involves multiple superficial injections into the skin to deposit small droplets of hyaluronic acid that will hydrate dry skin immediately.

Fillers remain the preferred option for strategically replacing volume loss in hollowed and sunken areas.

Is SUNEKOS right for me?

SUNEKOS's blend of amino acids and hyaluronic acid benefits anyone from their 20s onwards and who wish to provide nourishment for the skin to improve the hydration and elasticity, especially for these concerns:

  • Eye bags
  • Dark eye circles
  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Loose skin
  • Anti-aging or regular skin maintenance

SUNEKOS is suitable for all skin types and carries little to no down-time. It is a good option for those who desire a more natural look.

Which areas can SUNEKOS treat?

SUNEKOS can nourish, firm and hydrate skin in the face, neck, décolletage and hands. It is especially useful for the delicate areas under the eyes to treat dark eye circles, eye bags and fine lines.

What can I expect during and after the procedure?

Each SUNEKOS treatment is customised to the individual's needs. While the treatment points may vary, the process typically takes 20 minutes. The procedure is performed with topical anaesthesia for a more comfortable experience.

The session ends with  LED treatment to speed up the healing process of the needle
marks. Any raised bumps and swelling from SUNEKOS will resolve over a few hours as its amino acids and hyaluronic acid integrates with the skin.

How many sessions do I need? When do I expect to see results?

The recommended treatment protocol is 2-4 sessions, spaced 1-2 weeks apart, followed by maintenance sessions every 6 months.

Full results are not immediate. While the skin is more plumped up with hyaluronic acid after each treatment, the skin will continue to gradually improve further as the skin's fibroblasts begin to produce more collagen and elastin.

Who is not a good candidate for SUNEKOS?

Women who are breastfeeding or pregnant should not receive SUNEKOS.

People with bleeding disorders or previous allergic reactions that required hospital treatment should
consult the doctors first to determine their suitability.

Can SUNEKOS be combined with other treatments?

Yes, SUNEKOS may be combined with other anti-aging treatments for more cost-effective rejuvenation.

SUNEKOS nourishes and repairs while restoring youthfulness to the skin.

For more serious age-related wrinkling, hollowing and sagging, SUNEKOS complements Botox and fillers such that a smaller amount of Botox and filler are needed to treat lines and replace lost volume after aging-skin is treated with SUNEKOS.

SUNEKOS also acts synergistically with other heat energy devices like Ultherapy or HIFU for more visible skin tightening and lifting.

What do I prepare for SUNEKOS?

To minimize bruising, stop blood-thinning supplements and medications 5 days before your treatment. This includes aspirin, vitamin E, fish oil and ginkgo. Also, inform the IYAC doctors if you have occasional bouts of cold sores as medication to prevent a recurrence may be necessary.
