At IYAC, our approach to beautifying a face has always been to combine treatments. The ageing process involves changes throughout all 4 layers of our facial anatomy. Therefore, a natural enhancement involving a combination of treatments results in more significant and more natural-looking results. Nowadays, this approach is also known as ‘layering’ or undergoing a series of ‘tweaks’.

Microfocused Ultrasound with Visualisation (MFU-V)* is still the leading non-surgical treatment today for treating skin laxity. Our experience and consistent efforts in optimising patient comfort and ensuring safety have helped to keep patients satisfied over the years, so much so that the majority of our MFU-V cases are repeat cases. A good candidate is someone with good tissue elasticity and sufficient cheek volume, with mild to moderate fine lines and wrinkles. MFU-V is a good option for younger patients (in their 20s to 30s) for prevention and maintenance, as well as mature patients who wish to tighten and restore elasticity to their skin, or those who already had a facelift and wish to maintain results.

Bio-remodelling hyaluronic acid (HA)* is an injectable moisturiser and well-liked at IYAC due to its gentle and natural-looking results.  “Bio-remodelling”, a new word in the aesthetic space, refers to the cellular process that takes place resulting in collagen & elastin stimulation, hydration, and remodelling of ageing & sagging tissues. The reason why bio-remodelling HA behaves differently from other hyaluronic acid fillers is due to the way it is manufactured – it is heat stabilised (instead of using chemicals & preservatives), leading to a purer form of hyaluronic acid that is slowly released into the skin over time. There are minimal risks of lumps, or getting a filled or volumised look, and after 1-2 months, patients find that their skin looks and feels healthier and firmer.

The combination of MFU-V and injectables yield highly satisfactory results with minimal downtime, and long-lasting results. This approach is also supported by clinical papers in Dermatologic Surgery journals showing good, synergistic outcomes when combined this way. Treatments are just once yearly to maintain a fresh, youthful look.
