A PDLLA + HA treatment session lasts approximately 30 to 45 minutes. The procedure is performed with topical local anaesthetic and a fine needle/cannula system to ensure maximum comfort.

There may be some swelling and redness over the treated area immediately after the treatment. This usually subsides within a few minutes to a few hours. Makeup can be applied immediately after the treatment. Most patients resume normal activities the same day or the next day, although it is recommended to avoid strenuous exercise for 48 hours.

For facial firming, most treatment areas will require multiple sessions, typically 3 sessions spaced 3 months apart. The firming results are gentle and progressive, becoming noticeable about 1 month after the treatment and continuing to improve up to 6 months post-treatment. Results can last up to 18 months after completing the 3 sessions.

For body firming, most areas will also require 3 sessions with 3-month intervals, although closer intervals at 1-month intervals may be used in specific cases. The progressive firming results will begin to show around 1 month after the initial treatment, with continued improvement for up to 6 months. The results for body firming can also last up to 18 months following the 3 sessions.

As with any injectable treatment, common side effects include bruising, skin redness, and swelling. These effects are temporary and typically resolve within a few days, although bruising can sometimes last longer. Some patients may experience tolerable discomfort for up to three days after the procedure.

This ensures no residue remains in the body in the long term, unlike conventional fillers, which may sometimes persist longer than intended.

At your initial consultation, our doctors will address your specific concerns to ensure PDLLA is the ideal injectable treatment for you. To minimise bruising, stop blood-thinning supplements and medications five days before your treatment. This includes aspirin, vitamin E, fish oil, and gingko. Also, inform our doctors if you have occasional bouts of cold sores, as medication to prevent a recurrence may be necessary.

You will be provided with homeopathic preparations such as oral arnica tablets and arnica gel. Additionally, an LED light treatment will be administered immediately after your session to aid the skin’s natural healing process.

If you are preparing for a special event, schedule your treatment four to six weeks in advance, especially if this is your first treatment.
